Daily Challenge Good News Report (Feb 26 2009)

goodnews1Last week Darius introduced the first installment of the Daily Challenge Good News Report and it was well received by the community. So without further adieu, here’s this week’s dose of positive and uplifting news:

  2. Black is the New White: A 13-year-old becomes an expert in green computing.
  3. Elderly Couple’s Generosity Shocks Town: 70 neighbours are shown appreciation from secretly wealthy farmer couple.
  4. Be Happy Anyway: Looking on the bright side of the economic downturn.
  5. Spin Dry: The washing machine that takes just one cup of water.

    I absolutely LOVE the Good News Report!

    And I think lots of other people will too, as we really need GOOD news ~ more than ever!
    All of these wonderful stories are so relevant, informative, heartwarming, inspirational, even practical and I’m grateful for this feature and the wonderful elves who FIND all these gems!

    I have already googled “DailyChallenge” via EcoSmartSearch and not only did THIS website come up at the top of the list - the dark screen is actually EASIER on my eyes! Plus ~ it’s the GOOD version of Google that saves energy (and costs) so why not use it ALL the time. What a smart kid!

    Just imagine ~ I am actually looking forward to doing the laundry in the future … after hearing about the Xeros Washing Machine that uses only ONE cup of water, less soap + reuseable plastic chips! CanUbelieveThat? So awesome! And that’s just 2 of the stories!

    So ~ please don’t ever stop the Good News Report ~ and perhaps we need to make it more PROMINENT on the Home Page of the DC website so that more people can discover it! THANX Stephanie! ; }
