Daily Challenge’s Objective
Posted by Afshin Mousavian on December 17th, 2008Hello Do Gooders of the world.
Today I would like to address a question that was recently asked through our feedback form: “Is Daily Challenge a for profit or a not for profit company?”
Well the answer to that question is that Daily Challenge is a for profit social enterprise. Social enterprises are social mission driven organizations which trade in goods or services for a social purpose (Wikipedia).
Our goal at Daily Challenge is to build the worlds largest network of Do Gooders. Therefore, we are working hard to make the act of doing good fun and easy. The opportunity for Do Gooders on Daily Challenge is to be able to suggest challenges that they believe can greatly impact their communities, and invite their networks to join them in completing that challenge.
Who said changing the world can’t be fun!?
Please continue sending your feedback and your thoughts, Daily Challenge is a community built by you for you!

May 18th, 2009 at 10:43 amThank you for clarifying this new concept Afshin, as Daily Challenge so far has been NON profit driven ~ raising funds only for charities ~ most recently the Sick Kids Hospital foundation at the Pay It Backward event in April. I can see how the mission could be enhanced with corporate involvement and advertising, though hopefully not exploited.
So far, my personal experience has been rewarding in many ways ~ other than monetary. Daily Challenge has created an inclusive community ~ from every walk of life, all demographics, reaching out to every corner of the world. Its mission and the medium is empowering people to DO GOOD, ~ positively impacting others ~ locally and even globally. DC rocks ~ One act, One person, One challenge at a time…. Looking Good for Phase Two!

May 19th, 2009 at 12:04 pmThank you for your support Dee. Our goal has always been to create the largest network of do gooders. We truly believe that responsible businesses can be a part of this network also.
There are a some exciting initiatives that we are working on right now that will allow us to facilitate an opportunity for companies and individuals to work together in creating positive change. We’ll be updating our blog with that information as soon as we have all of the details.
Thank you again for taking the time to provide your feedback
