Miracle Grow Pens?!
Posted by Stephanie Miller on February 25th, 2009
I don’t know about you, but environmentally products that are FUN to recycle get my mojo going! Imagine this: you’ve just finished the ink in your latest eco-friendly, leaf-green pen and instead of chucking it in the garbage, you trot on over to the nearest flower pot and plant it!
MVP Design is a company making a big difference with the Green Pen. It’s made of biodegradable, compostable corn-based material; basically, an environmentally-friendly plastic!
All you have to do is dispose of the empty ink cartridge and bury the plastic barrel in some soil. Eight months later: fertilizer! They also have these cool bottom caps filled with seeds they say will “sprout and bloom while the pen decomposes”.
The only kicker for regular eco-aware folks is that these pens are only distributed as promotional items. You’ll have to find a Do Gooder company who is as committed to reducing their carbon footprint as MVP is (check out their about us).![]()
Oh! Did I mention the other cool characteristic of the Green Pen? It’s square! At first, it’s just weird. And then I noticed that it fits quite nicely - it just takes a little getting used to.
So, who’s already giving out these cool promo pens? Let’s find out: Calling all Do Gooder companies out there who have purchased the Green Pen! We want to know who you are!

December 18th, 2011 at 10:12 pmIn this great scheme of things you get a B+ just for effort. Where you actually misplaced me personally was first on your facts. You know, it is said, the devil is in the details… And it couldn’t be much more true in this article. Having said that, let me reveal to you what did deliver the results. Your article (parts of it) is definitely highly convincing and this is most likely why I am making the effort in order to comment. I do not really make it a regular habit of doing that. Second, even though I can easily see the leaps in reason you come up with, I am not really sure of how you appear to connect your ideas which help to make the actual conclusion. For the moment I will, no doubt subscribe to your issue but trust in the foreseeable future you connect your dots better.
