June 10th, 2009 at 12:00 amAltho’ it’s difficult to choose just one favorite feature ~ I never miss the Good News Weekly Report. And this week is particularly good. It renews my faith in the inherent goodness of people.
The Post Office Letter from God tears apart the stereotype of people “going postal” and reminds me that DOG is GOD spelled backwards.
The Lost & Found story about the camera finding its way around the world and back to the couple who lost it ~ only made possible by Good Samaritans all along the way.
Julio Diaz in New York gives his wallet to the misguided youth who threatened him with a knife, not only showed incredible compassion, treating him to lunch, but changes the kid’s whole outook and future.
The beautiful couple Vince and Jeanie selflessly giving 5000 street kids life-changing fun and hospitality at their beachfront while keeping them off the streets and out of trouble.
All of these real life stories proved how just one person, one idea or one act of kindness actually made both a measureable and immeasureable difference ~ “as simple as it gets in this complicated world” according to Julio.
