Twestival Interview with Sarah Prevette

Posted by Darius Bashar on February 9th, 2009

Did you know that over a billion (with a “B”) people all over the world go without access to clean and safe drinking water everyday.

Well up until recently neither did I.  Thanks to the folks at Twestival now I not only am more educated about this very important global issue, but also have specific actions I can take to do my part in finding a solution to this massive problem.

I first heard about Twestival from our Creative Director Verne who sent me a link and said it would be right up my alley. Shortly thereafter a friend of mine and fellow  Do Gooder Casie Stewart called me (actually I think it was that same day) and told me that Twestival was coming to Toronto and that Daily Challenge had to get involved because it represented everything we stood for.

Long story short, both Verne and Casie were right. Twestival is a fantastic example of social media being used to unite people from all over the world to take action for a worthy cause. So needless to say it did not take much convincing to get Daily Challenge to commit to be a sponsor for the February 12 event.

Above you will find a short interview with Sarah Prevette, who is one of the event coordinators behind Twestival Toronto.

When Sarah is not busy saving the planet she acts as the Founder and CEO of Red Wire a new and innovative social networking website that facilitate networking between entrepreneurs and members of the global business community.

P.S. For all you Daily Challenge members that want to attend the event in Toronto we have some exciting news for you! The great folks at Twestival Toronto have given all Daily Challenge members a special limited time offer. If you use the promo code “dailychallenge” when you buy your tickets you will get an extra 25% discount off the cost.
